Wandering Bard

Greg Bilsland is a game producer for Dungeons & Dragons at Wizards of the Coast LLC. He has worked at Wizards for five years, during which he has contributed to dozens of projects as a designer, a developer, an editor, or a producer. He currently acts as a member of the editorial board on Dragon magazine and Dungeon magazine and is heavily involved in coordinating D&D’s two worldwide organized play programs, D&D Encounters and D&D Lair Assault. Most recently, he has been managing the public playtest for the next iteration of Dungeons & Dragons and helping to plan D&D’s presence at national conventions, such as Gen Con, PAX East, and PAX Prime.

Greg is from Corvallis, Oregon and went to the University of Oregon, where he graduated from the Clark Honors College and received a Bachelor of Arts in English. After graduating, he moved to Renton, Washington to take up an editing postion at Wizards. He has traveled extensively, visiting Europe, South America, Latin America, and Southeast Asia, and has a travel blog recounting his experiences. Greg is an outdoor aficionado, and on weekends, he can be caught hiking in the Cascades and birdwatching in the Puget Sound region. He is also an amateur photographer.

In spring 2012, Greg was accepted in the University of Washington’s Master of Communication in Digital Media program (MCDM). There, he hopes to combine his love of games with a passion for sustainability and social issues to help advance those causes. Greg is an ardent environmentalist who is constantly looking for ways in minimize his carbon footprint, including most recently going vegetarian—much to the chagrin of his family.
